Are the Doggie Olympic Games just for purebreds with agility and obedience training?

Absolutely not!  The Games include a variety of events, making it possible for dogs of all sizes, ages, shapes, agility and questionable parentage to compete.

What can my dog win?

There are gold, silver and bronze medals–paw print-shaped, of course–awarded to the 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd place winners for each competition.

Can I come to the event if I don’t have a dog?

Absolutely! Visit the beach, watch the competition, and cheer for your favorite pooch.

What if we want to stay overnight with our dog?

The Long Beach Peninsula is very dog-friendly. You’ll find many lodging establishments which allow pets and many businesses which furnish water bowls and a place to tie your pet while shopping. Some even allow you to bring the dog inside with you. For more information on lodging, click here!
